I don't know if anyone has noticed but there is a new Super 8 projector on the market.

It is made by a company in Japan called Gakken.

It comes in a kit. It is basically just a toy; hand cranked and battery operated. It still looks pretty cool though.

For those of you, like me, who collect optical toys of all types, this is a pretty neat find.

It retails for about $ 80.00 USD.

Do a Google search for Gakken Super 8 projector.

They will not sell directly internationally but here is one on ebay already they show the projector projecting on a wall, not sure that is legit.

Note the pic on the screen is covered in scratches and then note that the gate is not relieved in the picture area. Dont put anything precious through the machine but treat it as the novelty toy it really is.
