I think these might originally come from an 8mm editor but would probably make good rewinds.
They are sturdy and have removeable threaded "screws". You could probably fashion a simple set up with these.
These are standard 8mm size but with adapters you would have a dual 8 system.

Those rewinds look just like the ones on a 8mm Mansfield model 950 film editor I bought at a thrift store for $4.20. Look on Feebay, there's a model 650 item#160350487914 that the hand cranks could be used when mounted on a board as rewinds.It's $6.99 + $11.00 shipping,2 days left and no bidders.I'm sure other Mansfield model #'s might work. Some come with splicers which could be mounted on the board in the center between the rewinds like I did.
