Selling my GS-800 to get a ST-1200. Would really like the extra reel capacity. This projector is immaculate. When I bought it a few months ago it still had the original Elmo bulb! Great projector if you want to record in stereo! Comes with original box, instruction manual, cables, f/1.3 lens, Elmo 800' take-up reel, and the original Elmo stereo test film! Asking $575 USD plus shipping. Email me at onedelorean@yahoo.com.

Just tossing in my two cents here, this is a great machine and totally worth the price. I have it and I absolutely love it! Get a 1.1 or 1.0 lens for it and you'll be set for life ;-)

Yup, cracking machine and all I need is another 1.1 Elmo lens. ELP!

I do have the 1.1 lens but really want the higher reel capacity of the st1200. So if anyone is interested please let me know! Here are some pics. Also I found an extra set of replacement belts and a spare bulb I am including!

Adam, as far as I follow in this forum, you have several stereo films (cmiiw).

If that is the case, do you know that an ST-1200 CANNOT play stereo?

Your current GS800 is indeed a stereo machine.

cheers

I'm going to be getting the St-1200 HD which is a twin track projector. Steve Osborne is selling me one and am told it will be stereo when connected to external amplifier. I know it doesn't have its own stereo amp built in like my gs-800 does. But thats alright as I don't use it with out an amp anyways.

This needs a confirmation from gentlemen here. Because as far as I knew "D" stands for Dual ....not stereo.

Dual means you can play twin track (i.e either one).

But please other may explain further.

I believe on the 1200HD,you have to use the moni 1 and moni 2 outputs on the back of the machine and feed them to a external amplifer.

The Elmo ST-1200HD is not a stereo projector, but…

… it can be used with an external (auxiliary) amplifier and speaker system. This then allows you to use the projector as a pre-amp and your stereo system as the main amplifier.

You can also connect the amplifier through the two green monitor jacks. By connecting these monitor jacks with the left and right channels of your amplifier; you can create a stereo effect. That is track 1 will be amplified through one channel and track 2 through the other channel.

All above are right. I used to have the 1200HD model and feed the two mini jack outputs on it into a 100watt Kenwood Stereo amp. Worked fine. [Cool]
