I would appreciate if any of the members can confirm that the EBay item Eumig, Chinon, Sankyo, Elmore, Cannon etc 8/8MM Progector Reel Spool will work with the Eumig Mark 610D?
Many thanks
John

What format are you going to play at your Eumig? Eumig 610 D is a dual machine meaning can play both Super 8mm format and Standard/Regular 8mm format. If you are only playing super 8mm then yes the take up spools can be interchangeable with other machines you mentioned.

But if you are thinking to play standard 8mm format, the Eumig 610D originally came with adapter for take up spool. If this one is missing, you cannot use standard 8mm film on that projector.

John...I have a 610D and the take-up spindle has a permanent Super8 fitting. I also have the original take-up reel for this machine... which is also Super8. I run both R8 and S8 onto the S8 takeup reel.

I placed a 400ft S8 reel from my Canon projector onto the 610D...it fit fine...R8 film ran fine.

On all Eumig Dual 8 projectors the take up is super 8 only

Why would the size of the take up spindle be a problem?
A std 8mm film will still be projectable on S/8 centred spools.
Even buying or making an adaptor isn't a problem,is it?

Makes no problem on dual gauge. The spare centre spindle on the Eumig is for the feed spool if needed. They even have this issue on the older Kalee 35mm and the more later one the Cinemerccanica Victoria 8 for example that used the larger spindle. They used not a adapter but a differant spool.
