The post for replacing the lower belt is great, but I have an upper wire take up belt that needs to be replaced. Can anyone offer help on replacing this wire belt. Does the best twist around the middle pulley wheel? Must the rear spindle screw be removed? To access the front pulley, does the metal shield and wiring harness need to be removed? If so, are there unseen parts behind the screws may be dislodged during disassembly or pose a problem during reassembly? Is the nut that holds the rear spindle act as a tension screw for the rear spindle? Any help will be appreciated including a pic of a wire belt that is properly aligned on the pulley's.

Thanks,
Ralph Aiello

Try a Google Images search for the Sankyo 2000H and you should find images of the inside back of this projector showing belt placement.
Cheers

I had posted these pics in another thread...but can't find the thread. I haven't had to replace one of these spring belts... but if there is not a clear path to attach the belt then you will have to remove the screw. Just go slowly and don't remove more pieces than needed to wrap the belt around the pulley.

Here is another angle of the take-up reel side.
