I totally agree....When I got this print it opened my eyes to just how great a super 8 film can look...and then I had it re-recorded in stereo...and it's spectacular. The color values are totally spot on.....no bias in my print...perfect flesh tones....consistent with the laser disc and dvd...and consistent with what I remember from seeing the film on its initial release. We ran it summer before last outdoors on the 17 foot scope screen and it looked like it could have been 35mm...when viewed from across the pool ...sharp as a tack...edge to edge. Buying this film got me into buying many recent scope super 8 features.....Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough, You Only Live Twice...Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, etc. Those are German prints...and do show a bit of a bias in color one way or the other....but great. The closeups of Connery underwater look amazingly like what I saw on the theater screen decades ago. It's not one of those prints where you keep having to try to pin focus the thing constantly....and wait for closeups to have it look acceptably sharp. This thing is sharp. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Get it re-recorded in stereo for even crisper, nicer sound. Wow.

Luis,

I appreciate the review, but please look in the Index of Reviews (top of this section) first to see if a title has already been written up so you can add to that thread instead of starting a new one. Gary wrote about Thunderball back in 2007. I'll leave this post up for a bit so you can copy and paste your review onto that thread. Thanks!

Doug
