Confessions of a driving instructor. 2 x 400ft reels sold seperatly, colour,sound.
Always good for a giggle and to see some of this countries comedy stars from the time. This item was released as two separate 400ft reels, quality is actually pretty good and colour has stood the test of time, this film was the third in the "confessions of" films which were basically the next generation of Carry on films but these actually showed the tits and bums as well as "comical" sex sequences, this one was probably one of the better ones and Columbia did a reasonable job with the editing,it wasnt much of a challange,
#1 has no annoying Columbia narrator but unfortunately in part two there is a little bit of this where the guy doing the narrating does it in a way that is meant to be comical but it fails miserably and joins the line of Columbia’s very annoying home movie voice over’s and is totally unnecessary, fortunately there’s not too much of it here.
A brief breakdown of story is quite simply that in this film Timothy, (Robin Askwith), joins his brother-in-law's, (Antony Booth), driving school. Their school is soon in rivalry with a competing school, while Timothy finds himself involved in erotic adventures with his clients, secretary and landlady. His clients are a mix of the inept and the dangerous and, as usual, mayhem ensues. A rugby match is organised between the two schools, at which one of the rival school's instructors, (George Layton), unknowingly swallows a powerful aphrodisiac and rampages around the field, an event that leads to the climactic car chase. And as always, the only let down of this release is an end with no title in site other than the usual Columbia copyright 1975, just a simple glimpse of the end titles would have ended an otherwise reasonable cut down.

I have to say, having seen the feature on TV recently this cut down makes it a much better movie and shows all the relevant comedy and naughty bits and it moves a lot faster and is better for it.
Sound is very good; colour and print are also very good and have stood the test of time.
Little trivia for those who may not know,
Antony Booth,who plays Sidney Nogget, is the Father of Cherie Blair,(wife of the ex Prime minister Tony Blair).

This final image shows actor Antony Booth who shot to fame in the British sit com till death do us part, and in my view is still as funny now as it was then.
