Probably familiar to some out there but this was a new one on me. Front part is the Bell and Howell machine mostly seen contained in a sound blimp, light source is anything you want. Long play reels. Very nice.

Compare this with the British Bell & Howell 609 priced at £650 in 1954.
It's not difficult to know where the conversion idea came from.

That "WAS" my machine .... I had the upper reel arm machined out of aluminum, and had an adapter machined as well that lowered the take-up motor 2 inches.

Im putting my film transport back together after a couple of mods and a motor replacement. It holds 6000'reels and can be used for super 8 films as well.

I'll post pictures and link a video soon if anyone is interested.
