I'm a new person to this forum. It seems that by default I'm learning about old 16mm B&H home projectors.

The motor switch on a B&H 1552 will not move to either the run or still position. Furthermore, it will not go in reverse or rewind. It does auto thread nicely but I have to manually reset it to go to the next step.

I took off the back and looked at the switch in the futile hope that I would find an easy, obvious solution.

I do have a 2585 that I found on the side of the road that has a bad worm gear. If necessary, perhaps there are some interchangeable parts.

Any thoughts?
