So I have a B&H 16mm 1535 Projector, the aux speaker port seems to fit a plug a little smaller than a 1/4" jack.

Is this a Bantam jack?

The B&H Aux speaker I have, its jack will not fit into the port, because it's a 1/4" and is a little too big.

If I am going to purchase a new cord with the right jack size, I would need one that has 4 wires. Because my speaker has two soldered on one side and two on the other side.

But It also has a two two-prong ports, one on the left and one on the right, are these the same use as the wires soldered onto the speaker? Someone just decided to solder instead of using the two prong ports?

If you have any information let me know. Thank you!

1) Bell & Howell did use a slightly smaller jack plug for speaker connections in some conditions. My Bell & Howell 8636 Maritime is AC/DC and was designed for use on ships. Due to the internal wiring situation it was necessary that users did not incorrectly plug microphones or earphones (with their standard 1/4" jack plugs) into the speaker socket, this could have caused blown fuses or even electrical shock. Hence the slightly smaller jack plug.

2) The speaker shown may not be compatible with your 1535. The speaker is designed for the earlier wooden blimp models which had a valve amplifier and as such its impendence is 16 ohms. Your projector has a transistorised amplifier and is balanced for use with 8 ohm loud-speakers. It is possible that the mis-match may cause slight distortion.

3) I suggest that you might care to contact Richard C. Patchett, or Urbanski Film for their comments.

Hello Richard,

I sent you an email about getting a new amp circuit board and sound pot for the same projector but didnt get a reply back, I would love both of these parts if you have them. Should I send you another email?
