I'm going to sell some movies on eBay but I was wondering... what value do you put on the Customs Declaration form? I mean let's assume you get a few hundred for a feature, it's a collectible and vintage item. It's just seems nonsense to pay extra custom charges for this.

In the States I think there is a 200 USD cap and they let things through? What do you write on the form?

I sell on eBay since 1999 but I usually have light parcels, so no CP 72 form needed.

If this topic has already been discussed my apologies.

Value plus shipping cost, i.e., the total cost paid by buyer.

Yes, but let's assume I send you a parcel with a vintage collectible value of 500 quid and I put that amount on the form, do they charge you some custom duties in the UK?

Not from within the E.U. ...yet!

If you wish to insure a shipment you can insure it at what is considered its value as a replacement.
My earlier reply is for the Customs and Excise certificate,

Of course, you're right, silly me! [Big Grin] EU (for now...) I send a lot of parcels to the US, so I'm going to do some Googling I guess, thanks for you time.
