Hello all, I have just joined the forum so I'm just introducing myself. I am more accustomed to shooting films than I am to projecting them because all films I have shot in the last 10 years or so have been digitised for release on DVD (sorry!). However, I have just shaken the dust off my old BH TQ3 and started using it again. I need a few film related items and I am considering going down to Ealing on Saturday and wondered if someone could indicate whether it worth the trip. Also do dealers at such events take cards and/or Pay Pal or is it a case of bringing cash. Many thanks. Max

Hi Max. Welcome to the forum. It's a nice friendly one and I am sure others will post and welcome you too. Ealing is great and if they didn't host it right on half term holidays I would be there too! There is also Blackpool as well in a couple of weeks or three.

Cash works well at this event but bring more than you dare as you will get lots to spend on!

Tony

Really looking forward to Ealing on Saturday and as others have said you will definitely find a fun and friendly atmosphere with films and equipment of all guages on offer.

I am hoping to buy a couple of 5000ft 35mm split spools on the day which should be fun to take home later via the London Underground system.

Kevin

Welcome Max. Don't miss Ealing. Mortgage your house as you'll come across so much interesting stuff you'll need the money. Don't forget the dealers lists. Classic Home is always worth a look as is Foster films, especially for shorts or trailers. Wear something distinctive and I'll say hello.

I very much enjoyed my first trip to Ealing show, it was well worth the drive down! I bought a few films and met some really good and friendly people, now looking forward to Blackpool. Thanks again to those whom encouraged me to attend. Max
