I have a Star which is in fabulous condition and fully working. It can run film in reverse and unlike some projectors it produces sound in reverse as well. But it does not allow the working of the lamp in reverse, which I think is very strange as every 16mm projectors that have a reverse facility, that I have ever come across, always have a lamp setting to enable viewing in reverse.
I was wondering whether it could be modified to do so. What I also find peculiar is that the main switch can be turned past the reverse setting but it springs back to the reverse setting, almost as if that the lamp should light if the switch was held in that 'past' position. I know that some projectors work that way in reverse viewing.
Has anyone got any experience that might help?
