There was a post some time ago which mentioned the various brands of rewinders and how useful they are, some sets only having one geared rewinder. No mention was made of Bell & Howell. I thought they would have been more commonplace, given that B&H were the leaders in all things cine for many years. Unlike most, they have two ratios, the usual 4 to 1 for fast rewind and 1 to 1, for cleaning and inspection.

We have the premiere rewind arms. These are very sturdy but as said only one has the handle.
I would like to get hold of those in the image with gearing change facility.

Hi Tom, sometimes on Ebay, one only recently, advertised a set of Premier rewinders that had two geared arms. The real set as you have is for one dummy arm. Do those present any problems with those old spools that only fit on one side?

Only if the film was rewound with the spool "that way", i do have to ensure that all my 16mm's are rewound in a way that i can use the arms.

I've received a number of those type of spools this year, very inconvenient.
