I have seen Sunday in New York (1963) available on 35mm, but does anybody know if there were 16mm prints made?

My copy of "Feature Films on 8mm and 16mm" (fourth edition) says "Sunday In New York" was available for rental from Films Incorporated, 5625 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028.
So prints might still be available somewhere.

I might be very wrong, but I don't think there are very many titles that were not, at some point, available on 16mm.
Most TV stations used 16mm prints for broadcast.

Indeed.
The book to which I was referring states ".....more than 15,000 feature films available for rental, sale, or lease from the best-known American distributors".
This was issued in 1974 and no doubt a lot of those films were also probably rented to TV stations, so there must be many of those prints still around in the U.S.

It sounds like an interesting book, Maurice.
I intend to have a look for a used copy.

Another useful little book was 'The Years 16mm Films' published by Current Affairs Ltd. It's a compilation of all the films reviewed by the monthly 'Film User'. It takes in Industry, Education, and Entertainment, and includes the distributor, running time and full review. Mine is dated 1956 being issue number 7. Don't know how many followed, but it's a great little book.
