HI Kevin -
I've never heard of such an animal for Elmo -- there are 50mm, 38mm, 25mm, and 20mm lenses around, but I've never seen a 30mm or 35mm... You'd probably have to go with a lens for another machine type with an adapter...

The 38 with the optical converter will give you 30.4, so this is probably what you want to do.

Hi JM, What Optical converter are you talking of? I have an Elmo converter x 0.75 This gives me nearly the correct size picture I'm after with the 50mm lens but there is a slight softening of the image which I dont like.

Am I right in saying that the above combination gives me 37.5mm? If that is correct then I could just get away with the 38mm with the projector just slightly further back.

Kev.

Wittner sells new 35mm lenses for the Elmo. Just in case you have just won the lottery, there is also a nice 20-60mm zoom lens available new (bottom of the page):
Wittner

The 35mm lens pops up on the German Ebay every now and then (and sells mostly for around 100 Euro's). But then again, you might be lucky. An auction for an Elmo 75mm lens ended yesterday and the lucky winner (a certain robk....) won the lens for just 11 Euro's!

Rob, That 35mm would be perfect but not at that price! [Frown] I think its a case of keeping my eyes peeled but at least it good to know that 35mm does exist for the CL [Smile] and if I win the lottery...... [Big Grin]

HI Kev, you could try Omer Wahyne in the US, asking him if he has a proper 35mm smaller bore and his sleeves are very well made, quality items.
You should be OK at 35mm as I don`t think any smaler gauge machines used that size anyway, but need to ask its 16 proper.

He`s usually quite reasonable.

Best Mark.

It's either the fixed Elmo optical converter or zoom converter (0.8-1.2). What's your converter? Is it an Elmo. I don't experience that softening you're talking about. But then again, the 50mm is such a crisp lens. And so is the 38...

You're right. And your converter with the 38 would give you 28.5. Do you still have some titles to shift around?

Hi JM,

Its an Elmo converter that Mark T gave me years a go. Its marked as an Elmo Zoom Wide Converter X 0.75. I'm now wondering if its actually designed for one of the Elmo cameras. Its rear thread is 43mm across.
This is the converter below:
