My 16mm scope faded too - which was upsetting! Maybe they are all like that. Really bad luck as 1981 made it so close to the low fade era!

Hi Adrian,
Yes it did had good colour but faded , the other print of the same title that I had was flat format 4:3 and the colour was great but a bit soft so I traded with the scope one that I have now but faded in a couple of months !!

Phil Sheard recently had - and may still have - a 35mm reel of up to about 20 mins of Dragonslayer in scope, which I believe he called a 'promo' but I have no idea of the content. I know he considered releasing it on Super 8 but decided not to. If I had 35mm, I would have snapped it up if it's a promo and in good condition.

Funny enough, I know the screenwriter, Hal Barwood. Next time I talk with him I can see if he might have any leads.

There was once a scope LPP print in Australia but the seller pulled it. So it is out there.

Back in the days about 1982 or 3 I had a supplier who was suppose to get a 35mm print for me. He seemed confident but after waiting not hearing anything I decided to call and his wife answered and told me he passed away. I found out later from another collector he committed suicide. He went by the name of Jan Read, I believe, which was his wife's name. Very sad.
