I have just invested in a 16mm projector and now wish to ad some 16mm prints to my collection, looking for 101 dalmatians and the little mermaid.

Good luck but you may need considerable funds as well as luck. I was tempted by a beautiful, near mint print of 'Mermaid' offered on eBay in the USA couple of years ago, but I think it sold for about £700. It must be easier to find on Super 8.

Though I don't collect 16mm (least of all not yet), it isn't a title I have ever seen become available and I look out constantly for all films that come to market.

Never say never but in "Derann 8mm condition" like yours Phillip,
it will be very rare and difficult to find I suspect.

I have seen quite a few "Rescuers, Rescuers Down Under & Mary Poppins that all sounded very good on decent stock though and the odd other Disney title here and there like "Hunchback" etc.

I think Steven Sigel had some for sale not long back.

I would love to own a 16mm print of the Rescuers, I have just got my hands on a print of the Black cauldron. I have started collecting 16mm as not all the Disneys were released by Derann. Is Robin Hood available on 16mn?

I am sure it will be somewhere Phillip.
The Rescuers I have seen plenty of times and the ones sold on e bay that included screenshots looked superb!

Speak with Gian Luca Mario Loncreni on here Phillip, he has nearly all Disney prints from all accounts on ether 8 or 16mm. [Smile]

He would be able to advise you on everything on film by Disney.

I have seen both of these film titles on 16mm listed on eBay US but they went for stupid prices.
Little Mermaid has been available twice in the past year but l have not seen 101 for over a year now on 16mm.
This is one of the reasons l am getting back into 35mm as the Disney stuff is more easy to find.
On a good note though l only have six titles left to complete my Derann Disney feature collection. [Smile]

Which Disneys are you missing Jason?

Dumbo is one I'd love to find in good nick.

I'm still missing quite a few but I'm doing ok and soon will be getting another stage or two further to completion hopefully.

I am pleased that at least already I have completed my collection of every single 1x600ft Disney contracted mini features that they released plus all other non Disney animated releases like Wallace & Gromit and The Snowman.

Hi Phillip,

The Derann Disney's lm still looking for are Toy Story, Aristocats, Dumbo, Fantasia 2000, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a good stereo print of the Lion King and Prince and the Pauper short.

For me it's Dumbo, A Bugs Life, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan & WFRR also.

WFRR is becoming particularly difficult to source nowadays in excellent condition.

A good friend of mine has one but from all accounts it isn't mint sadly.Very good but not perfect sadly.

It would be extremely interesting to hear from anyone who still has a mint print of this particular print nowadays.
