I just browsed through the latest digest of one of my Yahoo group subscriptions, a "small gauge" forum for filmmakers etc... and someone just had all their expensive equipment stolen and is asking for people to watch out for it in case it shows up on eBay and contact him. I thought I would quote his message here and hopefully increase his chances of getting the stuff back. (I feel sorry for the man!)

Without purchase receipts, serial numbers or photos, it would be difficult to identify the equipment. I've been ripped off before [Mad] and it is frustrating and almost impossibly to retrieve your stuff. [Frown]

Well, yeah, but that's the thing - if any of us sees pictures of stuff on eBay that matches his descriptions in a suspicious way... we are to inform him [Smile]
