Michael,

I've tried emailing you and using the private message link but no joy, so here goes with your enquiry about "Top Hat".

It came out in the U.K. from Mountain Films initially as a 5x400' version (about 84 mins.) then re-cut to a 4x400' (about 66 mins.). The quality is not to bad, perhaps a little soft in places, and yes as far as I know the complete opening sequence is on both edits. The 5x400' version has a bit of an abrupt start, but after that it flows fine. Film Offic of France brought out better quality extracts, but no feature, they were in English (Subs were used if their was any dialogue).

I hope that helps.

Barry.

P.S. I have a nice copy of "Flying Down To Rio" F/L if interested.
