No, it's my daughter...

As a child I was terrified by amusement rides.

Now, I'm having a hard time finding one that could terrify me. And I even flew local airlines in Russia. That's a difficult one to beat, believe me. [Big Grin]
Will try skydive/free fall next year.

Trivia: coaster in the picture is Mean Streak at Cedar Point (Ohio) - Big ride, impressive to look at but poor ride experience.

The man speaks the truth!

We were flying from Moscow to Sakhalin Island on Domededovo Airlines three years ago. We flew in over the island in low clouds. When we flew over Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk the clouds suddenly broke and the pilot found us about 500 feet up about half a mile from the airport. We went into this steep dive trying to make the runway and all of a sudden he realized we were going to make a crater if we landed at that angle and speed, so he pulled back up at the last second, circled the city and landed.

These are the people we trusted to get us across Siberia in wintertime!

I recently read on the 'web that they are being sued by another airline: they damaged their plane by crashing into it at the terminal...

Hi Jean-Marc,

have you seen that Derann are selling a 16mm print of "Rollercoaster"?

"2520 ROLLERCOASTER : In a series of amusement parks, something deadly is happening. Rollercoasters are flying off their tracks, and people are dying. It soon becomes apparent that these are not a series of coincidences, but the work of a psychopathic extortionist who is placing explosives on the tracks. Tense thriller starring George Segal, Harry Calder Richard Widmark, Timothy Bottoms and Henry Fonda. Excellent colour print adapted scope. £69.99"

Yes Eberhard, thank you . I have this film already. Still looking for a good colour/full scope print though...

Craig: the Blue Flash Backyard is a classic. Thanks for the link.
