I just had the opportunity
to catch the latest if not
the last installment in the
Rocky franchise, and this one
has the mood and pace of the
original Rocky.

If you are familiar with the
original feature,then this one
takes you back in time, with the
visuals and music blended very well together.

The interesting angle is that
it is not titled Rocky VI.

It is very sentimental, and
well crafted - not the
typical loosing your breath
on the edge of your seat type
of film that is very prevalent
these days.

Just a good decent feature, and full
of all the "Rockyisms" philosophy,
and comedic charm that made the
first one a hit 30 years ago.

I have a really odd relationship with these movies. I actually don't like boxing, but was so inspired by the spirit of Rocky III that I did something I'd never really done before: exercise!

So I'd like to publicly thank Sylvester Stallone for the stronger, healthier me I am today! Every flight of stairs I can run up without becoming winded is because of Rocky pummeling Mr T! (Eye of the Tiger!)

I don't like to see movies go into sequels 50 times over either (being a Star Trek guy, this makes me a huge hypocrite...), but if Stallone can pull this off at his age, I guess that's a sign of some talent.

I saw this movie and I have to agree that it has heart. I know its sentimental...I remember seeing the original in 1976 in Japan of all places! The original was great and this is a great film to wrap up the series.

saw it in the same town I saw the first one 30 years ago. Very good film. I am an avid boxing(and ROCKY)fan, and the HBO PPV realism was great!) [Smile]
