Hi All,I'm sure someone will know where to get a power lead for a Bell & Howel Projector.

I had a question sent to me via ebay asking if i knew where he could get a new one as he lost the original in a house move.

I have no idea if these were standard leads or not,so any links would be very helpful.

OOPS!! this should be in the 8mm section, very sorry to the mods

He's in the U.S.A

Many Thanks

You do not say which model of 16mm B&H.
The answer is easy for the later made machines as they used a standard 3 pin plug/socket. The type used on our electric kettles, which are easy to obtain.
Prior to that the Jones plugs/sockets were used and these will be difficult to find. Best to have these on the Projector changed to the "kettle" type above.
Please do not take this personally, but on Ebay if I see a projector listed saying "can't run it, no lead" I take the worst interpretation and assume it does not run and avoid that machine.

Thanks David for the reply,i've passed on your answer and he's going to change the socket for the standard 3 pin type.

To clear this up,i sold a Chaplin film to this buyer and he just asked me if i could help or know where he could get a lead for it. [Smile]
