Over the past couple of years my friend and I have made numerous 8mm presentations to a Great Western Railway Association group free of charge.
After the last show, we were invited to their Christmas Lunch in a very nice hotel. This took place today and to our utter amazement my colleague and I found ourselves guests of honour and made to feel extremely welcome. All thanks to good old 8mm.

Well done Mal, what a great Christmas present for you! And nice to know that your film shows are so appreciated by the nice people in Neath.
And......no better place to be at Christmas than in Wales.
Merry Christmas Mal, and the very best for the New Year.

I admire Mal Brake, not only for having a cool name, but for frequently doing something I'd love to do: do film shows entirely of railroad films for a group that really gets into them. I've done cartoon shows for groups of little kids, and general film shows for (err) "general" audiences. I've often thought about doing a railroad film show (with "The Titfield Thunderbolt" as the feature.) for my cronies that also love trains, but I'd have to figure out what to do with their wives (...mine too!)

Way to go, Mal!

Clear tracks ahead!
