Well hopefully [Wink] thanks to Pat who gave me this old "Zeiss Icon" 35mm sound head from the 30s and to his horror [Eek!] I cut of the original excitor lamp, drilled and tapped holes made brackets etc to fit a reverse scanning red LED and solar cell to fit onto my 80 year old "Ernemann 2" 35mm projector, so far I am still having a couple of minor problems but with a bit of luck will soon to get the benefit of Dolby Stereo up and running... well thats the theory [Roll Eyes]

Graham - very, very cool indeed.
The cool thing about 35 machines is that they are built like tanks and therefore you don't hesitate to go under the hood with a sledgehammer and a welding torch!
I already switched to red LED nearly a year ago.
I just changed most of the fuse system on my Kinoton as there was a shortage of Littelfuses for higher intensities. I just created a secondary power control panel inside the projector so I can now use fuses that can be found at local DIY stores. Next is an oil leak to fix... And fine tuning of the stereo cell...
