Hey, any of you guys remember those Laurel and Hardy ads, starring two fellows that bared an uncanny resemblance to our favorite two?
They even sounded fairly good. They weren't put into modern settings, but had thier old jalopy and got into trouble.

I forget what company they were made for.

The one I remember was for Anco wiper blades. "The Boys" are headed down the road in their Model T and have trouble seeing. A new set of blades sets everything right.

...certainly a lot easier than the usual L&H problem "solving"! You know they'd never get through with that windshield intact, much less the whole car!

Did some research: the ad. I'm thinking of was made ca. 1980. Man!, it seems more recent than that!

Steve, if that's the actual time of the ad, then I have a chance of finding it on 16MM! Could you give me a link for that info?

I remember them being quite good. The two actors really beared quite a resemblance to me favorite duo!

Paul Ashley and Chuck McCann - I have a few segments on VHS - It was nice to see that combining with the frequesnt showing of old films

Apparently I can't because I don't have "SUPER ADGRUNT". I don't think I want it though. It sounds like something I'd need an antibiotic for...
