We know that the BFCC is coming up on 20 March, but can anyone remind me what the date of the April Big Screen Time at Tadley is? I recall one or two people missed it last year having lost track of the date, so a reminder might be helpful. I tried internet searches but nothing came up for 2010.

I'll answer my own question - Tadley projectionist Dave Locke kindly informed me that it's on 24th April.

Adrian, Do you happen to have the postcode of the venue?

Im think of going and the postcode would help.

Graham,
I managed to find the postal address via information on groups that use the same theatre:

Aldermaston Recreational Society,A.W.E.
Aldermaston
READING
Berkshire
RG7 4PR

This website shows the theatre and has a basic map in the 'how to find us' page:
http://www.boundaryplayers.co.uk/general_information.phtml

The main thing is to head towards the north west of the complex until you get to the right entrance (which will have a 'Big Screen Time' notice outside) and avoid any entrances with armed guards!

Thanks for the heads up on this Adrian, the Tadley event is great, it has a charm all its own. I wish they would advertise it a little though, even a simple web page would be good with the date, venue and location.

Hopefully see you there.

Don't forget bfcc.biz carries a promotion for Geoff Wheeler's 'Big Screen Time' at Tadley...

Hi John,

Talking about the BFCC and Tadley, are we any further on regarding Dave Whistler's kind offer to show some original NASA 16mm films at Ealing?

It would surely make an interesting and memorable subject for the last time at the Town Hall venue.

Please let me know your, and Keith's views on this, as I don't think it's fair to not let Dave know, one way or the other. Also it would have to be included in the programme, of course.

Look forward to your reply.

Best,

I don't think there's room at the last Ealing convention David... but of course, it looks promising that the BFCC will survive into 2011 and if enough collectors come along and support the conventions it could even return to two conventions per annum. Who knows?

So perhaps Dave would like to be kept in mind for next year and beyond? I'd love to see these films so I'm sure others would to.

OK John. Thanks for the info. I'll let him know.

Cheers,

It would be best not use the post code for use on a sat nav as it will take you into the base, and it's not really where you want to be. The soldiers won't be happy either and they are armed to the hilt. [Eek!] Best follow the map instructions from Adrian's link.
Chris.
