Sadly the great Sci-Fi writer Ray Bradbury passed away today
at the age of 91.Ray will long be remembered for over thirty
novels and over six hundred short stories
IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE, FAHRENHEIT 451,THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES,THE ILLUSTRATED MAN,the list goes on.He also wrote the screenplay for Huston's MOBY DICK and his short story was the basis for the film BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS on which his long time friend Ray Harryhausen would work as special effects technician.he was also the first Sci-Fi
writer to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize.Quite a man,and myself and our members offer condolancies to Mr Bradbury's Family
R.I.P.

He was essential reading for me as a teen-ager...poetic, terrifying and full of wonder.

R.I.P. Mr. Bradbury.

A truly great writer who evoked the warm folksey small town America giving a Waltons feel to the proceedings, before hitting
you with the twist in the tale.Seeing him in past interviews,it's
easy to see why he was so prolific, the enthusiasm he displayed
showed why he was not just an author, the man was a wordsmith
and is up there with Poe,Burroughs and Melville.A great writer
and America should be proud of him,for we all are the poorer
at his passing.
