Good day, fellow collectors. I have had many mails recently, alot of them from fellow members and collectors on the forum, and would just like to state that I have seen them, but due to me starting a new job last week, I am currently swamped with work for at least another week or so, so I cannot always reply to mails as quickly as I'd want to [Smile]

So do not worry, I have seen your mails and will reply as soon as possible [Smile]

The newly created position of executive assistant (Department of Film Collection) to Mr. Bjorgen is now open. Please email your resumé to......oh, wait...there's a delay on that end. Why not post your qualifications in this very thread? Knowledge of Abbott and Costello routines a must. [Big Grin]

So you want me to-do-a-job-for-you, ah? Why-ai-ai!

Sadly nothing to do with film this job, I am working as a teacher at the local high school [Smile] However; as we have "Drama and film" on our lists of subjects for the spring, I am planning to do a Super 8 presentation of some sorts for the students!

That sounds interesting Christian.I used to teach at a special needs school in New Zealand where we could pretty much choose our own themes within reason. I used to do film making with my class every few years. Once, we spent a term watching movies on super 8, link it to all our numeracy, literacy etc and then recreated scenes from them on dvd. I am particularly proud of our version of "The Music Box" which we shot at the High School next door because it had the most perfect steps (and a brilliant Stan and Ollie). I used to have it on Youtube and we got about 40,000 hits but deleted it when I left the school. We also made a lovely short of "A Trip to the Moon", long before "Hugo" brought it back into the limelight.
