Never understand ebay. I noticed a italian guillotine splicer listed at 29 cents and it had several bids now was at 1.29. Auction was supposed to end tomorrow. You know what the seller does deletes the bids and ends the auction.relists it for 50.00. Now if a bid is a binding contract how can a seller have the right to delete bids and end auction. Not a two way street I cant retract my bid. Sorry I'm just venting

Also I hate how the buy it now disappears after a bid is placed. If I want to pay that I should not be blocked by other bidders

Actually you can retract your bid. Ebay will let you do it if you don't have a history of doing it. Also the Buy it now disappears but that is because of the way the seller set up the auction. You can set up an auction so that bids will accumulate AND the buy it now remains.
Ebay is a twisty maze and it takes a while to get used to if you aren't familiar with it.

I've been a member since 1998 and still don't understand it.Ebay makes lots of changes.back then the protection was not that strong and there was no paypal.items took longer

One time my Nephew accidentally bid and won first appearance Batman comic for 38,000.the seller was upset.

Looking at a standard 8 Eumig, this was in the Item / Listing information

"Please be aware it is Ebay's policy to list certain items with "Product Information" they hold in their catalogue.

Therefore the items shown in the pictures / product information may not be a true representation of what is actually for sale.

For example Ebay's picture may show accessories with an item, however we will always inform you if they are not included."

That seems to be a get out point for the seller to me. As I have never sold on ebay is thi true?

when sellers say no return no refunds. its basically not true anything can get returned or someone get their money back because of the protection policies.don't know why sellers bother to put that?
