How very sad indeed, he was brilliant in boogie nights Hollywood has lost a fine actor. R.I.P.

I think his best performance was Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. Then again, Lumet brought out talents many actors never didn't know they had.

Judy Garland told June Allyson:- "Never take pills to wake you up or put you to sleep because pretty soon you won't know whether you're awake or asleep".

June Allyson. Putnam. 1982.

Great performer in many varied roles through his career.

Recently screened Performance (A Late Quartet in some countries) & his performance as an aging musician in that film was brilliant.
A sad loss to the industry.
