I bought a 9,5 sound film on EBay from UK. The seller wrapped the original box with tape ! When I wrote him to tell how surprised I was by the treatment of a so old box, he answered he didn't realised the importance of the box. I have to add he ofered to send me another blue box to replace the ruined one but of course it was not about that. It was about the fact that this dammaged could have been easily avoid !

If you have patience and heat the tape with a hair dryer you may be able to get it off. I have done this when there was excess tape where I did want it to be. however, you have to peel it very carefully. it's like cutting a diamond!

Good luck

I already unwrapped the tape (I have no hair dryer). I tried as carefully as I could but couldn't avoid dammage :-(
