Great musician and personality. Many tv appearances and one of large number of jazz and pop artists to appear in that enjoyable, zero budget comedy musical "It's Trad Dad" in 1962 directed by Dick Lester

Acker and his Paramount Jazzmen appeared in the minor, but very entertaining, "Band Of Thieves" (1963).

"Band of Thieves" is available on DVD. I have a nice little 9.5mm "soundie" cut down of him playng "Stranger on the Shore". One of a
small number that Larry Pearce issued. There is a synch error on these because the sound track was not in the standard position. Its hardly noticeable on this particular film as he is playing the claranet and there is no vocal. Ken Finch.

I have "Stranger on the Shore" as a "Musical Miniature" (Number ST9)on standard 8, that I bought at a BFCC on a reel of 3 different artistes.
