I don't know if any of you have run into this (if you use ebay), but I have had two auctions (the only two sold auction over the last two weeks "sold"), where people have paid for they're items, but the payments have not ended up in my account. I finally had to tell the first person to cancel the payment he had made and send the money via money order thru the mail.

After this happened a second time, I contacted ebay and it appears that ebay is, upon you selling an item, using an old paypal e-mail address and sending the payments to that address, instead of the "primary" address that you, the seller have listed. I in fact looked up my paypal e-mail address and it was in fact, the address that I have always used, but it's not being used by ebay at this time, defaulting to this other address.

Ebay did say (upon me contacting them by phone), that they have this on their "to do list", in other words, they are working on fixing this problem, but this problem has existed for well over two weeks now, (at least), and I'm finding that I am having to go thru all my ebay auctions and revising them to use the actual paypal account that we use and not the incorrect one. I will watch with interest as to when our next auctions end, to see if the payments actually arrive in our "primary" paypal account, or if it will screw up again and go to that other paypal account.

The curious thing is that, for the life of me, I do not remember opening that other paypal account, but it has (for contact reasons for lost passwords), our old number which we haven't used for over a year and a half ...

So, I caution any ebay users to, when making an auction, please look at the paypal e-mail address info, (as to what paypal e-mail address is used to make payments), and make sure that it is correct, before you list you're items for sale, just as a precaution.

I'll update you folks.

OSI
