Don't know if it's been mentioned in these columns, but the news media announced the other day the death on feb 4th of voice actor Joe Alaskey, at 63, apparently one of the most celebrayed successors of Mel Blanc, who worked alongside him on several projects.
One such job was to step in with the voice of Yosemite Sam, in 'Roger Rabbit', as the gravelly voice was proving to be damaging to Blanc's throat.
