Although the Blu-ray has been out for a while, its taken me this long to getting around to watching it [Roll Eyes]

I must say the HD quality of both picture and sound is excellent and well worth getting, anyway here are a couple of screen shots. Hard to believe that its getting close to 20 years since its first 1997 cinema release.

.... and you now live in a hut after mortgaging the house to pay for the print!!! (Ha Ha)

Seriously, it must be fantastic to watch on the big screen. Is it a good quality print?

A hut, ha ha, you mean a park bench Melvin !!!. No seriously bought from a very good forum member, not as good as the blue ray obviously, but damn good for a super 8. The German labs did a fine job here, mine are on two huge reels, only the fumeo is able to run these correctly, it has just slightly more room for the reels than the beaulieu.

Melvin - If tempted you can order it from Steve Osborne in the USA, although that might risk a big customs bill, but you should also be able to order it from your 'local shop', i.e. CHC!

Yes Titanic was available on super 8 very nice scope print I bought my copy new, from classic home cinema several years back, cost about if memory serves about £600 , it came on 10 600ft reels, I shudder to think what a new print would cost today....

The print will also of course, run on any Long Play Unit in conjunction with a Beaulieu or in fact, any other double sprocket suitable projector.

May be a the way forward to view this very long film with only one interval break.
The ones I've seen have superb print quality.

I won't pay £900 for any Super 8mm film, so for the foreseeable at the very least, this is one of those sadly I make do by viewing it in the manner Graham has above.

Not my preferred choice of screening, but at £800 - 900, it's a no brainer to me.
