Apparently there is some tree in California where it all happened.
She pointed it out to Michael Caine while filming The Swarm (least they were doing something useful) You will have to read one of his books for details. He tells the same stories over and over again so any version will do.

They were a wonderful couple together, most certainly on the big screen. I've forgotten how many films they did together as hero and heroine.
