If you ever wondered how "Winnie The Pooh" and other lovable characters came about, then this is a must see movie. Its the story of A.A.Milne his wife Daphne and his son Christopher Robin.

Its a powerfull story, and in many ways its very sad one with the long term results of fame that came with it... at a cost.

It might be a good idea to have the tissues handy near the end.

Goodbye Christopher Robin is very well made and if you get the chance to watch it, then do so....very highly recommend it.

Its interesting to note that the actual filming took place in The Hundred Acre Wood....in real life known as Five Hundred Acre Wood in Ashdown Forest.

A very talented young actor "Will Tilston" who played Christopher Robin.

We saw this one a few months ago. There is a Cinema Arts Center a couple of towns over: neat place, at least two auditoriums, rigged for either film or digital. There are facilities to make amateur films too. We saw this one there.

It is a great movie. Granted: a little bit painful, but sometimes the truth hurts. It's sad that one of the few little boys that grew to hate Winnie the Poo was Christopher Robin Milne, but for him this was the cost of fame.

-a few years ago we were spotted in a shopping mall by somebody from a "talent agency". This emaciated looking fashion-model lady said our son was adorable and she could make him rich and famous.

Granted, she was probably just trying to scam us for a photo shoot and assorted other fees, but just the "rich and famous" part made me send her packing even all by itself.

-better a happy bookkeeper or plumbing supply salesman than some strung-out celebrity in his fourth rehab!

(-actually, I think he'll become some kind of software dude! -the un-famous kind!)
