It doesn't really involve films (though she did great scenes in "The Blues Brothers" and "Blues Brother 2000"), but Aretha Franklin has passed away, the singer of such great songs as "R.E.S.P.E.C.T." and "Think" as well as so many others.
It's hard not to groove to "R.E.S.P.E.C.T" !!
She could still belt out those songs until recently. She passed at 76.

What a great voice she had - plenty of Vinyl and CD's to soak up those great standards that she belted out R.I.P
