I think it would be good to know who is who on Ebay. We often say who to avoid on Ebay, but what about who is good to buy off? I'm sure a forum member is going to be more reliable than an unknown person.

So, I am atlas1000. Any surplus film I sell has been viewed from start to finish, with as detailed a description as possible. I give exact footage too, so I won't say 800' if it's 550' on an 800' reel. I also don't use the term "much loved condition" as that is too hazy for me!

I only buy on EBay, but for the record, I'm pathebaby (as some forum members from whom I bought already know).

Sorry no.
Ebay uses the username as a opportunity for sellers to attract certain types of sales. Also this smacks of a dealer trying to collate who is selling on it. I'm really not comfortable with this post at all.

I'm no dealer.

This is simply an opportunity for members here to see who they are buying from. For example, I know Nigel H is a great seller face-to-face at a film fair, so I now I can find him on ebay, I can buy with a similar confidence there. In fact, I can now actively search out his items on Ebay which I have been doing.

If people do not want to be identified, then so be it.

Of course anyone who puts on the forum a link to something they are selling allows people to see what their ebay name id when they look at the listing. Putting their name here is no different to that in my mind.

I have no objections to sharing my name. I stand by my reputation on both. Regardless, whoever wins a print from me knows who I am when they pay anyways!

I am under Cashcase718

I know you are not Simon young fella.

We all as internet users are constantly being warned not to leak personal information to assist the Phishing trolls and with this being a open to view forum in mind perhaps not such a great idea.

Phishing is the fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by disguising as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.

Sorry my friend but I have a view and I'll be following the guide lines.
