Many balloons were launched this morning at the start of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.
The long awaited Darth Vader also took to the skies. He, of course, was David Prowse, a Bristolian.

In the late 1990's I worked in Southwark, London and at that time Dave Prowse (also originally known as the 'Green-Cross Code' guy in the road-safety TV commercials) ran a gym in Marshalsea Road.
After work I used to have a drink in the local pub, The Lord Clyde, and I would often see him in there. Even then he was still an extremely big guy!
