and now for something completely different ...

Monty Python and St. Lukes Hospital ...

(cue the Monty Python theme and think of it as you read ...)

We go to my wifes weekly out patient blood pressure check and pain level. At the appointment, they inform us that, though my wife was led to believe that the brown pill was for pain and the blue pill was blood pressure meds, BOTH were blood pressure meds. Therefore, my wife has been in pain agony without any pain meds for a week and a half. the thing that really pisses me off is that we have Ibuprofen and Tylenol in our Ronald McDonald house room, (as I brought it from home), but being that we both were led to believe that she was already on pain meds, we didn't want to give her any more which could potentially overdose her ...

so, she's suffered.

Thirty minutes later, a doctor (judging by the "MD" on his official name tag) who's part John Cleese could have played masterfully, looked sullen and so in my affable way, i wished him good morning. he grunted at me and as i got off, I stated, "well I hope you're day gets better" to which he yells "I'm having a good day, and leave me alone!"

I left grumpy drawers in the elevator and went to the out-patient pharmacy to get the perscription that the doctor has ready for us ...

"We have no perscription for a Mrs. Osgood"

"Could you make a second check?"

"I can check to see if we got a fax for it."

(states the pahrmacist in a most snooty manner, to come back in a minute to say ...)

"We have no refill for her perscription"

(gee, he almost looked pleased with himself)

I march back over to the office where we had our appointment earlier this morning, and the doctor, looking quite perplexed, went to make a call to see why my wifes perscription has not been filled ...

All in a four hour stretch ...

Have you ever had a day when you're really, REALLY wanted to punch ... something?

Fortunately, Thornton is still making progress and though he's slowed down a bit, we will hopefully be out of here within a few days to a week.

(whew ...)

Success ...

at 4 p.m. tweedle dum and tweedle dee figured out what was wrong and while medicaid wouldn't budge on they're position about the blood pressure pills, the pharmacy made sure that we got them with no cost to us (those lil beggars are pretty darned expensive, i'll tell you).

by making a gag out of it, it helps me off set the "urge to kill" my fellow humanity when they REALLY NEED IT!

It reminds me of a line from "The Great Santnini" (Robert Duvall shouting ...)

" GOD!! GOD!! Why'd you put so many idiots on the earth at the same time?!!"

( to which God could probably respond, "To keep you company!")

venting done. At least, i have my new pristine Fuji color "Magical Mystery Tour" to peruse while here in Boise! It helps off set my "projection withdrawal"

... and there is only cure for that, and we all know what THAT is! [Smile]
