Steel spring belts from the quoted source are too flimsy for any use other than something like the Pathe Ace take-up. I know as I supply them to that vendor ! If nonetheless you wish to go ahead why not not buy them cheaper at source? Those belts are listed together with the nitrile range I supply on my website at
web.onetel.com/~parfittwar.

steel belts (extension springs) can be made to your specification by e. g.
w w w(dot)centralsprings(dot)com or any other manufacturer.

I would avoid the spring belts whenever possible since they can break and/or slip - I know it can be tempting to pick them up thinking they would potentially last forever, but personally I have had the exact opposite experience with the spring belts, they are the ones that I wind up replacing with other belts.

If there was a spring belt employed you would be adviced to replace it by a spring belt because spring belts have to slip as often there is no further friction build in.
So the spring belt has to act as a belt and as a friction as well!
