Hi all,
I noticed how hard it is to try and find a pair of 9.5mm winders - and not surprised really!
So I created some winders using a 16mm winder, a 16mm reel and some bolts, washers and nuts and it works well.
I am sure others have thought of this idea but I did it on my own
And it is easy to use as a 16mm winder again, just undo the 9.5mm reel and then merely remove the adapted 16mm reel.......too easy
Her's a pic of my "creation"
Cheers, Clinton

Very Clever Clinton, I actually got very lucky in this department..One of my very first purchases was a box of random 9.5 reels, and films and in it was a little pathe rewind set up...It consisted of a small metal base the two rewinds, and two small bolt screws to attach the rewinds.....Then years later when I picked up a 17.5mm pathe natan projector inside were two 17.5mm Pathe rewinds, that fit on this same base...That was kismet.....Yours is an excellent workaround for someone who needs a setup, and I think I am going to make one for my work rewinds...Can you show a pic of the reel to let us see the actual mod you did?

Hi Dino,
I drilled 2 holes in the centre hub of 2 x 16mm reels, then inserted long bolts thru the holes, then I had to put several washers on to make a gap between the 16mm reel and the 9.5mm reel to make room for the reel-holders, then put nuts on to hold the 9.5mm reel on.
Looks a bit rough but it works

Thanks for putting the pics directly for viewing Bill, I will have to do it that way next time I have a brilliant idea

That is as clever as using Popsicle sticks & tape when you realize your take-up reel is too small. <<<insert a thumbs up smiley here>>>
