I have 3 beautiful old Pathé films cans. According to an estimate, are from 30's or 40's years.
The label is: 3 FILMS VIERGES PATHÉ 9.5mm INVERSIBLES R.O.F. Rapide Orthochromatique Fin Anti-Halo
Films are orthochromatic: http://camerapedia.wikia.com/wiki/Orthochromatic

I would like to understand the ASA sensitivity of this films, someone can help me?

Thank you. [Smile]

Luigi
At one time film speed was measured is degrees European Scheiner. I cannot find anything on Pathe but have found speeds for Geveart 9.5mm film stock from the early 1950s.
Micro Pan 23 Sch (ASA 8)
Super Pan 26 Sch (ASA 16)
Ultra Pan 32 Sch (ASA 64)
I would suggest that you try one roll at ASA 20 and see what you get.
Unexposed film can lose its speed slightly over a number of years and you should bear this in mind.

I love finding these types of film "add-ons" that even if they no longer work will still look great in a collection Luigi Castellitto .Keep us posted on how you get on [Smile]

With one of cans I would like to make an experiment and see what comes out. Certainly it's hard to get something from expired film, also expired in the '60s,' 70s, let more with expired in the 30's 40's!
I will be hard to know what sensitivity should I use, 20 Asa is a good compromise, while the Geveart already panchromatic, I suppose quite different.
Clint, I found this little treasure just on eBay, at a nice price, 15 euro! [Smile]
