I just uploaded the first film in which Harold Lloyd's 'glasses' character appears, which is believed to only exist on 9.5mm:

And here's a review of the film: http://moviessilently.com/2017/05/16/over-the-fence-1917-a-silent-film-review/

Thanks Chris for posting this and a link to Youtube.
I like Harold Lloyd films and have a few on Standard 8mm.
But I've not seen this one ... until now [Smile]

Chris
Absolutely great.
I see that 10066 was a two-reel 60ft notched film. Did you remake the running titles, or did you film them as single frames?

Thanks for the responses gents. Clinton - as far as is known, this early Lloyd only survives on 9.5mm, which will be why it hasn't surfaced on the other gauges. There are still quite a few lost Lloyds from this era.

Maurice - I had the film scanned, and I freeze framed the notched titles using editing software on my computer. I scanned two different prints to put together a best overall copy. My second print has had the titles reshot as running titles by a previous owner - in one case I had to retain the remade title as the original notched one was missing from my first copy.

I compiled the score from the 1930s Chaplin Mutuals reissues, as these are public domain.

Very glad you liked it David. I know that like me you're a big fan of silent cinema. If you check out my youtube channel I have put up a few other rare 9.5mm silents that aren't available elsewhere:

And I have another transfer in the works coming soon with a specially commissioned score which I'll post here when it's all finished.
