I'll share this little fix as it may be of help to someone else one day.
Had a couple of friends GS1200's with audio wow issues which seem to be down to hardening of the rubber split pinch roller and slipping on the capstan. The best fix would be to replace it but I found that a very light application of BELT DRESSING applied using a audio head cleaning stick pretty much immediately restores perfect sound quality.
1 Apply
2 Leave for a week to dry off
3 Run 200ft of waist film thru the projector to remove any excess dressing.
My own daily use GS1200 had the treatment a year or two ago and it has not given any issues.
Belt Dressing comes in a aerosol and head cleaning sticks are plastic with a small leather tip.
