I have just had an E-mail from the BFI Southbank announcing Super 8 on the IMAX Screen
"After their sellout inaugural IMAX premiere last year, straight 8 is back! Experience the smallest film format on the UK’s largest screen as the top 25 films of straight 8 2025 make their world premiere at BFI IMAX.
Each film is made ‘straight’ on a single roll of super 8 film. Despite the challenge of editing in-camera, the quality is always outstanding.
Eight of these films will arrive fresh from their Cannes debut, while the remaining 17 will be unveiled for the very first time - even to the filmmakers themselves.
Do not miss what is always a remarkable screening, with in-person introductions to celebrate the magic of super 8 on the big, BIG, screen."
Unfortunately it starts at 11pm on 24th May.
