Indoors under normal room lights I get about 20 foot candles. Yet, I have been able to shoot Foma R-100 Regular 8mm film and get good results reversed. A newly CLA Bolex B8 camera is used. I develop the film in a LOMO UPB 1-A spiral developing tank. Switar lenses are used wide open, f1.5 and f1.8, 12.5 and 5.5mm. Development is in LQR, 1:10, at 78 degrees, now using 21 minuets, with 15 agitations to start then 3 every 30 seconds. After the film has been fixed I tone it with Selenium. My YouTube channel shows samples. studiocarter1. I also post only about movie film developing on my FB page, michael.studiocarter. https://www.youtube.com/user/studiocarter1 and https://www.facebook.com/michael.studiocarter. I used to administer Home movie film lab on FB but there is little interest so I backed out, Adrian is the only one doing it now. But he develops super 8 in color, I only do regular 8 in black and white.
