Ran a 85min feature the other night on my Fujica 8 sound (standard8 of course)no problem. The next night tried to run another and bottom loop kept disappearing. Tried everything , gate tension perfect checked the claw mech with gate open and turning inching knob, that seemed fine. Took the mech out of outer casing to check the cam, replaced with new grease , on checking again I noticed the claw wasn't fully retracting! Hence the film was not moving through the gate, a quick adjustment ,now running great. Never come across come this one before, after 70 years of projecting. There's always something new cropping up in our hobby, but secretly we quite enjoy a challenge, what a thrill when you fix it!
